Shut the box
Shut the box is a simple but educational dice game that can be played alone or with multiple players. Start Shut the box by putting all the tiles upright. Roll two dice and add up the eyes of the roll. So if you roll a 6 and a 2, you have a total of 8 points. With these points you can close tiles, so for example tile 8 or the tiles 5 and 3. So you can close multiple tiles if the sum of the tiles is equal to the total number of eyes thrown. After you have closed the tiles you can throw again. Your turn ends when there is no more combination between the rolled eyes and open tiles. The sum of the open tiles is written down as negatives. If you manage to close all the tiles, you have won Shut the box, otherwise the player with the fewest points wins. Decide in advance how many rounds will be played. Fancy a game of Shut the box?
